On-boarding Process

I want to improve the on-boarding that my team goes through. My agency has one for the whole staff on-boarding, but to specify one for my team will help transition new hires effectively.

I didn’t realize that other states have a ‘consultant’ category of certification or a ‘supervisor’ level certification. Texas needs that!

I hadn’t thought of SPF in supervision… but you really can use it anywhere.

Ouch!

A few things stood out: are we working the plan? Are we doing only what we like to do and none of the things that we don’t like or are more difficult? and the one that was personally convicting… ‘I know you’re working hard, but what did you get completed?!’ Ouch!

I’m fairly new and was hoping to find more on meth, alcohol and marijuana topics

I plan to use the developmental assets framework and getting feedback from the youth as well for program development. This is also important for treatment interventions.

Language

I learned to learn to change the vernacular surrounding substance use disorders. People are more likely to admit that they have been out of order due to their substance use.
