In this training, Dr. Collier will teach prevention specialists and clinicians the neurodevelopmental science behind the program, how high-risk behavior affect development, and how to implement the program tools into a variety of different venues.
KnowYourNeuro.org (KYN) is a free, online, plug-n-play prevention program that teach kids how high-risk behavior affects their brain!
KYN helps young people fall in love with their brain and grow their executive functioning skills! Kids, teachers and parents can find videos and one-page handouts to learn how 18 different high-risk behaviors like alcohol, marijuana, vaping, eating disorders, anxiety and more affect their growing brain.
KYN programming makes it easy to talk to kids about tough topics at each age and stage of brain development so they will want to protect their brain as they grow.
Participants will learn how to teach kids to be Brain-Smart and how to implement a brain-based prevention program in their clinical practice, school environment, or daily parenting practice.
